Using pregnancy as a metaphor for the creative process, Dar a Luz is a study of women in the last weeks of pregnancy. Though we do not all give physical birth, we all share in an experience of creativity or “creative birth”. We can say that we give birth to ourselves each time we shift and make changes in our lives. To extend that notion further, though we do not all make material "art", we all go through the process of self-creation that is the process of personal growth that happens many times over the arc of a lifetime.
